Brian Morrison's Signature Guitar is one that was designed and perfected over years of experimentation, eventually settling on the build presented today. The Lefkus Model is a left-handed version of the Morrison Custom.  Named after Brian's mother's maiden name, the Lefkus model name serves as a dedication to Lisa Morrison and the Lefkus clan.... It's convenient that the name is also a pun.

The design is inspired by the double-cutaway Les-Paul body style.  The main wood(s) used in the construction of a Signature Morrison Custom are Walnut and Curly Maple.  Most, if not all of the lumber used in each build is locally source with the exception of the fretboard wood typically being an African hardwood.​

Innovation is found in the neck design and variability of the the scale length. The neck is laminated together using three pieces of lumber while the headstock is designed with a hidden scarf joint to help prevent the headstock from snapping if the guitar ever were to be dropped.​
